This 1937 Great Britain Crown features the first portrait of King George VI, introduced following his accession to the throne in 1936. The obverse displays the elegant left-facing effigy of the King designed by Humphrey Paget, surrounded by the Latin legend GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX.
