1848 Queen Victoria Gold Sovereign, graded AU58 by NGC. Struck during the early years of Queen Victoria’s reign, this classic Victorian sovereign features the young head portrait of the Queen facing left, with her hair arranged in a braided style. The surrounding legend reads VICTORIA DEI GRATIA, meaning “Victoria by the Grace of God,” while the date 1848 appears below the portrait.
